The Institute’s Mission:
The Institute is a recognised research entity cooperating in wide ranging operations with the state administration, working to boost energy and public security of the Poland and for its sustainable development. The Institute has been carrying out scientific research and development work for the Polish oil and gas industry.
The Institute’s mission comprises transfering of advanced technologies, products and knowledge to industrial practice. The Institute has been implementing its mission by applying the highest standards in scientific research, developing certification and standardization activities and developing cooperation with reputable scientific centres.
The Institute is striving to achieve the position of the best scientific entity in the oil and gas sector.
The most important strategic objectives of the Institute include:
- supporting the decisions of the Ministry of Energy and other State authorities via gaining and sharing technical knowledge adequate to their needs, preparing expert opinions, participating in the creation of oil and gas industry development strategies, participating in consultations relevant to introduced regulations;
- implementing new technical and engineering solutions into industrial practice, supporting the innovation and competition of enterprises playing a crucial role on the domestic gaseous and liquid fuels market, and also implementing by them mechanisms of sustainable development implemented by them;
- improving the management system of own resources, optimising the structure, staff level, research infrastructure, subject-matter scope and partnership relations with domestic and European research entities;
- improving its resource management system, and optimising its structures, personnel status, research infrastructure, essential scope and partner relations in the domestic and European research enviroment.
